Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation in 130N: swatches & review
Hello and welcome to my first review! This review will cover the Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation in the shade 130N (light with neutral beige undertones). This foundation retails for $30 in the U.S., making it a mid-priced option.
The shade range is great, with a total of 48 shades.
Here are my swatches of the Rare Beauty foundation in 130N:
This formula is vegan and cruelty-free, like all of Rare Beauty’s products. It is free of fragrance, parabens, and mineral oil.
Reviews on this foundation have been very mixed – many dislike it and find that it clings to their dry patches. Personally, I haven’t experienced this problem, but everyone’s skin is different.
I did my usual skin prep followed by the e.l.f. Power Grip primer with niacinamide. The foundation blended in very easily, and 130N ended up being an excellent match for my skintone.
jumpscare warning!!!
The foundation has a doe foot applicator as opposed to a pump. (Some worry that this may be unsanitary.)
The foundation provided appropriate medium coverage as advertised. It evened out my skintone and diminished the redness on my face. The foundation applied evenly and was easy to blend in. It did not look cake-y or heavy on my skin. It has a lightweight, serum-like texture. To me, it looks and feels like skin – it doesn’t ‘feel’ like you’re wearing a lot of makeup.
PROS:
• great shade range
• lightweight, serum-like texture
• good medium coverage
• easy to blend
• does not look heavy
• cheaper than other foundations at Sephora with a great shade range
CONS:
• doe foot applicator may take some time getting used to
• may settle into dry patches for some
OVERALL: 9/10
